Thanks, as a non native english speaker, TIL that I also pronounced it wrong the whole time…
I read so many of his book thinking “at some point I’ll land on one that’ll make me understand what all the fuss is about”. Never happened. As you said, the guy has great concept ideas, but he doesn’t know how to build on them. So many endings are so stupid and far fetched it would be comical if it were a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure episode…
Sorry for the bad news… still the meme was pretty funny.
I love that MIA song, but it is bittersweet listening to it now that she went full on reborn christian conspirationist MAGA…
Joke’s on you, I grow a beard to hide my lack of a chin.

I totally get how it made you feel. I have a feeling that mentionning that had more to do with how it is often used to justify racism towards colored people. Because in that guy’s case it does not seem to matter to republicans, but it was enough of a reason to justify George Floyd’s death. I may give too much credit to OOP though, it is still tone deaf.

I get what you mean. The musicality, the intensity, the singing, pretty much everything is better on O’Connor version. My main complaint is that I always thought the lyrics fit better with the tone of Prince’s version than Sinéad. The lyrics are very typical Prince and they feel a bit “silly” in comparison to her serious and sincere delivery. But I was told many times that I was wrong so eh…
Those cats got faces like in those medieval paintings.
If that bird was in a Disney movie it would be the ultra sassy character.
There was also a time when people would get pay to press an elevator button for you. But we don’t do that anymore because those things are super easy and having someone doing it for you won’t make the process faster.
On the other hand, the thing that pisses me off the most about the self-checkout is that people take forever to scan their stuff. When I was working as a cashier I would have an average of 50 clients/hour. There ain’t no way those self checkout are more efficient considering the time people take.
Actually this is the interpretation I got lol

Glad you liked it ! I think this band is a little bit of a hidden gem. Their albums “The Goat of Mendes”, “Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone” and “Antichrist” are really worth checking out.

Such a tough question because I want to shout out songs across multiple subgenres. Death Grips - No Love, Primus - Frizzle Fry (especially the ending), Quo Vadis - Silence Calls the Storms, Rage Against the Machine - Settle for Nothing, Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose, Denzel Curry - Ultra (feat Yung Kane , Nell , Slikk , Rell), Vivaldi’s Summer 3rd Movement and half of the Acid Bath or Ulcerate catalog. If I have to settle for one song though I think I would go for :
Ahab - Old Thunder
However, if I can choose a particular snipet of a song that I think is the heaviest thing I have ever heard period, I would go for Akercocke - Leviathan, between the marks of 3:30 and 4:00. I was legit scared first time I heard that. You gotta listen to it from the beggining though because that build up is insane.

The reason they are made similarly is basically because it’s a “spoiled” alcoholic fermentation. For instance if you try to make cider and screw up, it transforms into cider vinegar. Rice vinegar comes from sake, etc.

Just go read the 1 star reviews of the game Cult of the Lamb on Google. More than half of them are pearl clutching christians being completely shocked by the thematic. They see it as part of an agenda to promote satanism to kids instead of just being a game with a silly premise.
Looks like a Kilkenny

Ouhhh that’s interesting. I love Horrified, it is one of my favourite game, but unfortunately I often end uo quaterbacking while I would prefer people sharing their thoughts. Will check this one out for sure, thanks for the suggestions !

I guess it is better to go for games that are cooperative and where everyone can contribute how they can without pressure. So I would suggest strategy games where everyone decides together what to do and all the players are united against the game, but in a way that it’s harder to put the blame on someone if they fail to do what’s expected of them (Ex : Hanabi). Here are some of my favourites that corresponds to this :
Pandemic
Horrified
Forbidden Desert
I understand your point because often in a lot of hobbies, when you are a newbie, people can be very condescending to you. But I still think that it’s abnormal the number of people that know nothing about cooking, since, contrary to most hobbies, it is essential for us to eat.
However I think that the real problem is that most people are so overworked and we have so much responsabilities, that it is almost a luxury to take the time to cook in our society. I am pretty sure there would be wayyy more people enjoying cooking if they could take their time doing it.
