There’s just one small flaw in your plan. Hamas has widespread support in Palestine and is not interested in peace, only in the destruction of Israel.

If you end the war you just go back to the previous situation where Hamas will continue to persistently launch rockets at Israel and execute more terror attacks, not peace.

It’s not being bigoted to point out the dangers of the current form of Islam. You only have to have eyes to see the extent of jihad, mercy killings, beheadings for drawing Mohamed, etc. or to see the stats from polls where large numbers say it is justified, or sometimes justified.

It absolutely doesn’t apply to all Muslims but it’s not a tiny minority, and other religions do not have anywhere near the same violence today. Burying your head in the sand and calling people bigots and racists is pathetic and doesn’t help.

Islam is evil. Not all its followers are. And if people weren’t so scared of being labeled racist we might have an honest discussion about its problems. Hamas needs to be fought just like Nazis did. Naziism needed to be destroyed, not Germans, despite Nazi ideas proliferating through Germany.

I cannot say if I grew up there that I wouldn’t have the same beliefs, brainwashing children is extremely effective. But those ideas, the religion, need to be acknowledged and challenged in any response. Not just stick our heads in the sand and pretend they’re logical beliefs and that they will spontaneously want peace despite them repeatedly telling you they don’t.

I don’t think you actually understand jihadism. You think it’s a reaction to other circumstances and some fringe extremists rather than the actual goal and being widely supported. You can’t comprehend that goal so try to frame it in logic. But there is no logic involved in the beliefs of Islam and jihadism.

Yes Ireland deserves independence. Yes Palestine deserves independence. But that would not stop them trying to eradicate non Muslims.

It’s a tragedy whats happening to civilians in Palestine. Hamas needs to be destroyed and I hope Israel can minimise further collateral damage. (Though it must be exceptionally difficult with the tactics Hamas use)

But I hold the jihadist organisation Hamas (that still has widespread support) fully responsible for this tragedy, as I would hold the Nazis responsible for German civilian deaths.
