Agreed! It’s so frustrating when I screw up a build, or realize I don’t enjoy the build I made after investing too many hours.

5·2 years agoYuzu does recompile some parts during runtime by using a JIT, but the rest is still emulated.
You can’t compare them to Wine, since Wine acts as a compatibility layer by translating OS specific calls, but it does not translate between instruction sets.

FYI if you click on the top right arrow when playing a video, you can switch between fit/fill/zoom mode. This should address your second issue.



Check out evil to use vim keybindings within emacs. If you want a battery-included experience, try Doom Emacs where enabling evil is a breeze.
