Typically people losing at monopoly actually prefer going to jail and sitting there since it is preferable to having to pay for hotels.
Not that it makes the analogy much less dark though

I tried to play it like a normal RPG and remember just trying to walk around the neighborhood to find every random person I tried to talk to would just beat me up for getting close to them so I noped out of it

I think most are carried by their modding communities at this point which can be so involved they fundamentally change every aspect of the game.

While I mostly agree, for many kinds of ads there isn’t a great way to correlate particular ads with efficacy, so there absolutely are as campaigns that the c suite is convinced are working that are just practically not at all.

Maybe a hot take but I think this year has been one of the best for gaming in a long time. We got Claire obscur, kcd2, Hades 2, silksong so far

Someone’s opinions can absolutely make them a moron. I mean intelligence in general is largely defined by the scope and rationality of someone’s thoughts and opinions.
It seems like you are trying to make a point that having an opinion is not something we should be judging someone for. While people are entitled to opinions they are absolutely not entitled to freedom from judgement or consequence for those opinions.
I am curious if your take here would change at all if instead of this opinion their opinion was “insert race here doesn’t deserve to live” or “age is just a number and sex with any age of person is totally fine”
+1 for Bazzite, I did pretty much exactly the switch you are describing a couple months ago and tried mint first but didn’t love it for gaming (problems with my Nvidia card) but have had literally no issues whatsoever with Bazzite. It just works ™

Yeah I mean you are probably right. In my defense, though, without having spoilers, the game is emphatically NOT pro King Arthur and the main likeable factions are the ones I would describe as Irish

Throw another one of those beefy arms back on there

I am having a great time. It’s janky, but fun. It is EXTREMELY nostalgic for early Skyrim in terms of its leveling mechanics, character development, sense of humor, and jank. Just swap the tone from Nordic to early Irish dark fantasy.

Fucking good. They are just mad palworld is more fun than their latest pokemon launches

I don’t view those things as exclusive, and I also don’t think everyone who goes to these does so for the same reasons. There are different objectives to each kind of political action, but for rallies, the main goal is connecting people with others in their communities who want to do political actions. So, people who do come wanting to effect political change meet others trying to do the same and learn more ways to do it. To be clear, we aren’t exclusionary, liberal organizations are present too. People meet groups who want to protest, groups who want to write letters, groups who go to legislative sessions, and groups who give them alternatives to liberalism. Most socialists or other leftists were once liberals, and for those people who are disappointed in Democrats I think it’s fair to present them with other options.
For the exclusive goal of showing up in numbers to show frustration at the current political climate, this is accomplished simply by being present and visible, basically. What to do with all the people who are present and visible is the next question. Sometimes it’s yelling at passing cars, and sometimes its meeting local orgs trying to drive political change in other ways

Once I get mine done I’ll let you know!

What’s the timeline on this? I have played a bunch of modded Skyrim but just switched to Linux. That said I was about to build a mod list for myself, probably a lightish simonrim (basically vanilla +) setup with the good quest/new land mods if compatible. If that sounds like something you would also like I will just give you my mod list and load order when done.

Democratic socialists of America and party for socialism and liberation. Basically socialist parties

To be fair, 50501 chapters can vary a lot city to city. I’m in a red city but our organizers are very left so we use the platform to push leftism. It isn’t like that everywhere though. Also we did a rally with speakers and tables, some places are just people holding signs with no agenda. It’s a grassroots thing so depends a lot who decided to organize it in your area.

Hi, No Kings protest organizer here. The point isn’t to change Trump’s direction, the point is basically a massive recruiting event for our local DSA and PSL chapters. Libs show up who are mad at Democrats and hear from leftist speakers and talk to leftist tabling orgs. Also there is mutual aid groups and such there.
Otherwise yeah totally not going to change Trump’s direction. But far from useless

Admittedly I only did the tutorial area and first town after before I lost interest. I did definitely have it pitched to me as a fully open world game which it really isn’t as I would define it. I have been told since that Arthur has a good arc and growth potential but…I guess it just took too long to get to that. It seemed to rely a bit on past game context too that I didn’t have

Witcher 3, rdr3. I know they are popular games and all my friends who also like single player rpgs love them but I just can’t with the fixed personality main characters who act in ways that frustrate me. I mean last of us was good but that was more where the player character being forced to be a dick is the main plot point, instead of a thing we are meant to ignore.
I am more referring to late game when properties are largely bought and developed and the losing player is statistically more likely to have to pay more to opponents going around the board than they are to receive money from them. It becomes a stalling tactic to collect more money. UBIs are very important early game but barely relevant once the average hotel visit costs you 4+ of them
Admittedly it is also popular due to the free parking house rule that seemingly most everyone uses, but is not in fact an actual rule.
