OTTAWA — Sweden is sending a large delegation of some of its most prominent people to Canada later this month as it seeks closer ties across the Arctic.
Rideau Hall says Gov. Gen. Mary Simon will welcome King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia to Canada for a visit to Ottawa and Montreal from Nov. 18 to 20.

Such good news. Sorry (not really) we have no Royals to reciprocate.
The Gov General is our representative for the King, and is exactly why she is receiving them.
Former PM Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry might be a close second.
. . . . . . Hahahahahaha!!!
You as in Canadians?
Don’t you, technically?

Technically as in not really. We’re just too lazy to change the old customs.
Yeah you’re one step further from them, I guess, but also they are like the biggest royals.
Like there’s still a bunch of small royals in Northern Europe. They just don’t exactly have the same sort of palaces and hobbies that the British ones do.
