  • Inequality is always going to be prevalent in a meritocracy. And that’s okay. It should be possible to just get by nowadays and if you want a little extra, you can work or invest what you already have. A Universal Basic Income paid for by a wealth tax would work. There are of course also other means of financing UBI. Heavier taxing of luxury products, air travel, mileage taxing for cars, there are tons of options. Sadly none of these will ever be applied because countries are usually run by people who would feel these measures themselves and it would prevent them from putting spinning rims on gold jetskis.

  • I have something similar, a helper called ‘Awake Mode’ and a helper called ‘Night mode’ (for some automations I need something to be true not to happen).

With a shortcut button on the door in the bedroom I can activate Sleepy mode and on weekdays, it also activates on my wife’s alarm.

A lot of my automations have the condition that Awake mode needs to be on our nothing happens.

  • To me, a major point of irritation from the last couple of Battlefields was the fact that most players had no interest in playing more tactically. Squad leaders never giving orders, players not following orders, dudes just hanging in tanks for the entire match…

The beta felt like a much quicker game, with the squad order suggestions solving part of the issue for me. But it also means no squad bonuses and the quicker gameplay felt more like CoD on the sense that it’s more of a shooter and less of an all-out tactical warfare game.

Nevertheless, I liked the overall feel and the fact that it just felt a lot lighter than the previous iterations. Purists will hate it and I agree with their points but if you don’t see it as a Battlefield but just as a shooter, I thought it was really good. €70 good… I’m not so sure.
