1·2 years agoYou could set it up as a media centre if you don’t have a sufficient option already.
I’ve used mine for emulators, media server, and file server over time. I’ve only got a 3b though so a bit limited compared to the 4s.
That’s a scam my friend.

Spotify web player with a good ad block at least gets around the “supporting them” bit.

1·2 years agoI don’t drink enough to warrant it. The odd one here and there if I go out for dinner. Definitely think more people need to think about their relationship with alcohol though.

I’ve got a website based on Joomla that is over 10 years old. I know Wordpress is a better option and have been using it for other stuff for the last 5 years.
Why isn’t the first one migrated over to Wordpress? Because I can’t be fucked, it still works.

RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Favorite retrogaming Youtube channels?English
7·2 years agoSega Lord X is the first one that springs to mind. I tend to prefer hardware and history over too much detail on the games themselves for other channels.
If there are people you enjoy on YouTube or other forms of social media, check their profiles or about me and see if they have mastodon links.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•What streaming services do you pay for?English
5·2 years agoPersonally I’m only paying for Spotify (while working away in the background to build my own collection) and Kayo, which is an Australian sports service. There is a little bit of fragmentation for sport in Australia but I’ve been lucky with Kayo as they’ve picked up stuff I was paying for elsewhere and it’s become better value over the time I’ve been subscribed.
Netflix is the only major one I’ve ever really paid for and their password gimmick was the straw that broke that for me.

It’s not the most stable but when it works it works really well.
This is reassuring. Sounds like I’ll be good to go in a week when this download finally finishes.

Windows 10 on my main computer, Mint on my HTPC which is getting a lot more use.
