[Installing software] will still be possible but the apps themselves will need to be signed by the developer through Google, so Google ultimately still controls what can be installed. Maybe someone will crack it.

Rode my bike to work in 2012 in Brisbane. Drivers actively hated me for existing and I was really happy when the job ended because I genuinely feared for my life and was almost driven over during my last week. I was seemingly the only one peddling my bike just for transportation.
