The dig we did was with https://gofruita.com/dinosaur-journey/ museum, and the local University (Colorado Mesa). We paid a small fee, which included transportation to the site, tools, lunch, water, and access to 3 full-time paleontologists who were each working on site (each working on a large bone). They taught you the process, answered way too many questions, and were delightful (they love people who appreciate their work). As soon as we found the tooth, they all stopped to document/sketch the find. Our names will be attached to the find.

Call/visit any local dinosaur/geology museum or university and ask. It’s not a satisfying answer, but works.
This meme was me growing up.
Now, my son:

The 2nd one is a Camarasaurus tooth we found as a volunteer on a dig

passingPASSED in Colorado! The two ballot measures would fund free meals for all public school students, give raises or stipends to cafeteria workers and provide grants to schools to purchase fresh ingredients from local farmers.
If there’s money left over from the taxes the two measures bring in, the funding could help shore up the SNAP program, also known as food stamps, for low-income families in the face of federal cuts.

2·15 days agoFull skulls from Saurpods are fairly rare, since they are so fragile. They are huge animals though. Camarasaurus was much taller than the largest predator at the time (Allosaurus). They were up to like 70 feet long, and 30ish tons. Allosaurus was 30 feet long (still long), but only 2-3 tons. A full grown Camarasaurus would probably just fine. Young ones would be very vulnerable (but they did grow SUPER fast compared to mammals)
Amazing find!

11·16 days agoCamarasaurus has large teeth for a Sauropod. They are like little shovels. This one was worn down quite a bit, so the Paelo on site said it was likely an older adult:

You can see a skull of one here for reference:
