Oh I won’t forget the cashews, I think they are the lynchpin for this combo.
Diced not slice with the avocados, got it!
Time to explore new flavor combos!

Ok, it has pineapple on it so of course we have space for you in our pineapple shaped clubhouse but I feel you are really straining the unity of the group with recommendation…
… but, for the sake of solidarity I will try this combo. Does the avocado go on the pizza before it goes in the oven or after it comes out?

Will do!
How is the tomato on there; are they halved cherry tomatoes, diced tomatoes, sliced rounds or…?
What is the best way to prepare the tomatoes as a topping in your experience with this type of pizza?

I completely disagree with you and accept your backward opinion as an opinion only, not an objective fact, like my side in this issue.

I’m not going to downvote you for stating an unpopular opinion when you were asked for one but I think you crossed a line here, pal…

I am here for this battle, I will die on this hill.
Jalapeño, Pineapple and Pepperoni … Spicy, Sweet and Savory
It is a great blend of flavors across the palate.
I prefer to have the pineapples drained/squeezed a bit before adding to the pizza as it helps to caramelize the sugars in the pineapple. The oven has to boil off all that liquid before it can start doing so. Also all that excess pineapple juice will be drawn out first before boiling off which can make the dough soggy if you don’t allow it enough time in the oven.
But also, who cares in the grand scheme of things… pizza is great without pineapple too.
This isn’t an attack as I don’t interpret your comment as being malicious, this is just an observation from an outside observer of this interaction.
You may be right about lonely people and just sharing info you have noted from your own experiences with them in your life but that is a brutal take down of @daggermoon@lemmy.world when they are sharing a major problem in their life.
Your comment may hold true for them but we don’t know that so it feels more like an accusation and victim blaming than being helpful.
Hey @daggermoon@lemmy.world, I’ve been there. It can be rough.
If you don’t have someone to talk to about it have you tried a therapist or other mental health professionals? I find this is one of the most important first steps of any life issue being faced, just talk about it with someone who knows a thing or two about the topic, make it a regular and consistent conversation.
I don’t know your situation but if you need it, this helped me;
Being social and maintaining friendships is a skill that can be worked on, no one can run a marathon on their first attempt, it takes training.
Starting small and working your way up. Saying hello to a stranger in the street or making small talk with a check out clerk at the grocery store is a good place to start. If you struggle with small talk then practice that first and work up from there. If you struggle with social anxiety then breaking through can be hard, some people struggle more than others. Training these skills sets do produce positive results.
*Be kind, honest and fair with all people you interact with. This isn’t a mask to put on, the ideal to strive for is to be those things as a person.
*Talk to people about what they are interested in or doing (learn about them) instead of focusing on talking about yourself.
*Respect others boundaries.
*Regularly check in with those in your social circle/community, don’t wait for them to check in on you.
*Get outside. Don’t just spend time at school/work & home. Find a third place where you can blend in but also be a regular. Cafe, bar, pool hall, library, gym, reading in the park, walk/hike in an area you like… whatever aligns with your interests and feel you could eventually become comfortable existing in that space but it is also a place where you are not required to be social. Eventually becoming comfortable with being in that space lowers anxiety of being there and you start to recognize the regulars and they start to recognize you. That makes socializing easier since you are now comfortable in the space and familiar to others who are regulars as well.
You get back what you give out. Do not expect to connect with everyone and not everyone will reciprocate your attention or interest but if you do it enough you will find those who do. Keep at it and you will find more and more.
Good luck and god speed!

Ah, so a meta list with locations of communities/subreddits/forums/etc that is platform agnostic. I see.

Aren’t communities/sub-reddits just another version of curated lists organized by topic?

Not being able to stop the hallucinations from happening would be my bigger concern for you.

This is the answer I most relate to. I feel the same way.
I miss some subreddits I was part of in the old days that just aren’t replicated here but the fediverse is not as broad. The knowledge base that did move here feels deeper though. I just hope it doesn’t become an echo chamber because it is too narrow.

Agreed on Kill Bill… a lot of people say their favorite of his are other movies but I think the Tarantino fans agree about Kill Bill. It is campy and melodramatic but epic.
It is such an interesting movie I think because it skates a unique line between ridiculous Hollywood summer blockbuster spectacle and a traditional story of revenge. The world he creates is saccharine/artificial but the story is something so simple and basic but we connect with on primal level. Going from a tragedy to overcoming incredible odds through skill she gets everything she wants in the end.
The emotions are so basic almost any viewer can connect with them. Binding those two elements together feels disjointed visually but also natural internally. There is magic in film when a director can do that in an elegant and graceful way. On top of all that the visual style, camerawork, sets, music, film grain, pacing, special effects, sound effects, lighting, casting are all excellent.
My only issue with the movie is how at the end during Bill’s Superman speech, he says that Superman is the only true superhero. He is Superman first and Clark Kent second, whereas other heroes are normal people with superhero alter-egos. He then specifically calls out Bruce Wayne/Batman. Not true, Batman thinks of himself as Batman, Bruce Wayne is the fake persona. It is what make Batman and Superman such great frenemies, they are two sides of the same coin, one of hope and one despair but still deciding to be good. They both have legacies their parents put on them that they are responsible for living up to without their parent’s guidance.
It’s a small thing but it bugs me every time.

Well… now IS the time to act.
Lots of missed opportunity in the past to act. We can’t change that now, we can only try to do better going forward.
I feel focusing the narrative on how we got into this emergency situation to cast blame on past non-action does little to affect any future change and demotivates others from trying.
Can we focus on what we are going to do instead of pointing fingers?
I know it feels good to cast blame, to get our anger out, and gives us the feeling we are doing something. It also weighs us down, directs our focus to the past when we need to be here now focused on what options are still available to us. We can analyze how we got here and what we should have done later.
Now is all we have left.

Congrats, you may have learned something new about yourself today! That doesn’t happen every day.
Jean Grey was a big influence on me as a kid; redheads in spandex… I get it.

Hey, I’ll do my best, here is my take;
I’d like to talk to you, But the TV is too loud— It’s pretending to be your head, Its speaker is so much like your mouth.
Someone feeling frustration over wanting to talk about things but the person can’t hear them because they only listen to and regurgitate what the TV (main stream media or government controlled media) wants them to say.
My country has risen from its knees In all its negative growth. I negatively agree with everything— Here’s my answer to your non-question:
We were getting back up after the fall of the USSR when everything fell apart and cratered. I don’t agree with what is going on, even though you didn’t ask I am going to tell you how I feel about all this anyway.
Where have you been for eight years, Fucking inhuman beings?! I want to watch the ballet— Let the swans dance!
This has been going on for 8 years now and you have turned a blind eye to it. I want to watch Swan Lake again at the ballet (referencing Russia’s primary artistic exports historically is ballet, of which Swan Lake is one of the most popular/wellknown)
Let Grandpa tremble in fear for his “Lake.” Get the nightingales off the screen— Let the swans dance!
Not entirely sure what this is referring to, my best guess is juxtaposing story elements of Swan Lake to current political happenings in Russia, ie comparing Putin to a grandpa and lake may be ambiguous as a reference to Swan Lake and Putin’s lakeside palace.
When it’s all over, you’ll be silent And pretend you had nothing to do with it. Your face is more sour than a Crimean cherry plum: You’re clearly slightly depressed about something.
When we, or future generations, fix this you are just going to pretend you had nothing to do with it, you’re a liar, like the lies they tell us about why we have the right to invade Crimea in Ukraine to justify our war with an innocent country. You know it is wrong but you keep lying to yourself about why.
I’d like to talk to you, But the TV is too loud— It’s pretending to be your head, Its speaker is so much like your mouth.
Repeat of the first verse; Someone feeling frustration over wanting to talk about things but the person can’t hear them because they only listen to and regurgitate what the TV (main stream media or government controlled media) wants them to say.
Where have you been for eight years, Fucking monsters?! I want to watch a ballet— Let the swans dance!
Repeat of the second verse but changing “Fucking inhuman monsters” to “fucking monsters”
Let Grandpa tremble for his “Lake.”
Repeat of the first line in the fourth verse but changing fear to tremble, again most likely referencing Putin and him willing to sacrifice the people of Russia in order to keep his extreme wealth and lake side palace.
Get off the screen, Solovyov— Let the swans dance!
Solovyov is a famous TV presenter in Russia, which I believe the speaker believes, or is inferring, is a government shill or otherwise bought off to only report what Putin wants him to report. So they are demanding Solovyov be removed from TV and to give the people back their freedom (swans dancing)
Hope that helped if you were being sincere about needing assistence to understand it. I have ADHD myself and have several friends with both ADHD and learning disabilities (they are co-morbidities of ADHD) so I can understand the frustration.

My hunch is you have a thing for redheads.

This is my perspective on it too.
It doesn’t feel bad until it wears off, pretty soon you aren’t feeding your addiction to feel good but feeding it to not feel bad anymore.
When you become dependent on feeling “normal” or “good” from an artificial outside source that is an addiction.
There is that but there is also, “yes, it is ok to wake me up by giving me oral sex.”
I quote Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) from 30 Rock all the time when my kids say they are doing good when asked how they are.
“Nah-uh. Superman does good, you’re doing well. You need to study your grammar, son.”
The fact that it is Tracy’s first interaction with Toofer, the black Harvard educated English major on the TGS writing team and the one who says he is doing good in response to being asked how he was doing, just makes it all the more unexpected and funny.
