Same pair as you (34” curved and 27” portrait), but with the 27 on the right, and my laptop below the 34.

Fortunately I’ve read this joke before.

Mentally and psychologically, no. Physically though, yeah I’m starting to feel it, in my lower back and knees specifically.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Having the opinion that you don't need to announce your departure, just leave is incredibly stupidEnglish
3·6 months agoI only really see that statement applying to only specific situations such as:
-
Social media - like a big facebook group for example, where people don’t really know each other personally. No one will really care if you leave unless you’re a moderator or popular member that everyone recognizes.
-
Big gatherings or parties - If it’s a big party and you don’t know everyone or you’re not really personally acquainted to the host, I don’t really think it’s necessary to announce you’re leaving.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would you rather live the life of an average person in the current era, or live as an absolute monarch 500 years ago? Why?
28·6 months agoHaving a bad/infected tooth and no modern dentistry tech is already a dealbreaker for me. Then there’s all the wars, disease, and lack of sanitation. So no thanks, I’d rather live as a normal person in the modern era.

23·6 months agoThis is why I just suck it up and go to a testing center even though more often than not it’s unpleasant too. I’m not installing all their tools and having to clear an entire room so there’s nothing that can be seen is such a hassle.
Same. After years of neglect, I finally had everything fixed at the same time. After 2 years of dental work and thousands spent out-of-pocket, I now floss and brush religiously.
edric@lemm.eetoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•about that ticket we talked about yesterdayEnglish
19·6 months agoAgreed. I was involved in a project that lasted several years and the project manager was great at filtering out the bullshit and politics so it doesn’t go down to my level. They were also great as an interface between teams so I wouldn’t need to directly deal with people who are difficult to work with. I wish she was the project manager on the other projects I’m involved in right now.
Don’t forget Svickova!

science@lemmy.world•Scientists Propose We Live in a Slowly Rotating Universe That Completes One Rotation Every 500 Billion YearsEnglish
192·6 months agoThe headline sounds like scientists are telling us to go live in a slow rotating universe. Jokes aside, what’s in the center? A super super massive blackhole?
Haven’t gone out yet, but we’re looking at a counter-height table. Square for the aesthetic but might just go for a reactangle for more useable space. Definitely not looking at getting a massive one.
