This is the Parisian breakfast. Nothing compared to the Lyonnais breakfast

28·6 days agoAnybody going there to test “how bad it is” is giving them traffic, which they can use to brag about its success. Personally, I’d rather completely ignore it and disregard whoever mention it one day as a source, which will never happen hopefuly.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•What's your answer? And in the picture which news story is being reported?
3·7 days agoBerlin wall for sure. Earlier major events like Tchernobyl, famine in Ethiopia or the death of Coluche (iconic French comedian, pretty big thing in France), I mostly remember my parents reaction and discussions at home.

I’m 45, so not a boomer but already too old to get any respect from people in their 30’s (90% of my colleagues for example). Simply speaking about something they didn’t experience (reading a map, installing an OS, meeting the love of your life without a dating app…) gets me a “Ok Boomer” each time so what do I do? I just shut the fuck up. I’m not worried, they’ll be in my position very quickly.
I worked in open spaces with more than 300 desks per floor aligned next to each other and no walls. You can’t talk, you are always making eye contact with people you don’t even know, your screen is constantly visible to the others and you can’t keep anything personal next to you. A cubicle would have been a dream in comparison.

Technology@lemmy.world•kurzgesagt – AI Slop Is Killing Our Channel / Destroying the InternetEnglish
11·26 days agoWatch the video? Duh. Thanks I watched it, and I know they don’t talk about how AI steals their art style (even though it’s really happening). I just pointed out the irony. The video also says they are usually enthusiastic about new tech but not this time.
I know this channel well enough to have seen countless videos praising fake tech like carbon capture and that’s why I have a problem with them. Am I allowed to have an opinion?

Technology@lemmy.world•kurzgesagt – AI Slop Is Killing Our Channel / Destroying the InternetEnglish
2013·27 days agoKurzgesagt is annoyingly techno-solutionist but now that they are a big target of AI slop (their artistic style being heavily copied), they complain. That’s good I guess.
at least, they’ll finally get decent food
But the question is about Jesus, and the references are in the new testament so it’s correct. idk, the dude is supposed to be the son of god after all…
I heard this 1000 times, together with “the two best moments in the life of a boat owner are the day you buy it, and the day you sell it”
I bought an old boat in Amsterdam (3000€), did some reparations (500€), replaced the engine (1500€), paid the local tax (600€ x 3years). I had fun with it. No regrets. Then I was moving back to my country, I couldn’t find a buyer… so I lowered the price to 1500€.
You were great, old boat. But not a great investment.

best answer. With H, you’d get a chocolatine.
